On Saturday, October 21st United Way of Greater Fall River (UWGFR) kicks off their Annual Campaign with the United We Move Trailfest, a Walk. Run. Ride. race event in Fall River’s Bioreserve. With the goal of encouraging health and wellness, outdoor recreation, and an appreciation and education for the community’s environmental stewardship of this conservation land, UWGFR infuses their mission of empowering individuals to obtain a quality life directly into this event.

Marketing and Community Engagement Coordinator, Janine Pohorely, remarks that, “hosting an event rooted in healthy habits, enjoying the outdoors, and bringing awareness to the resources available within the Greater Fall River community is at the core of United We Move Trailfest. Not only does this race mark the official kickoff of our Annual Campaign, but it serves as a catalyst for the community to connect and live the United Way mission of supporting health and wellness.”

This is the fourth installment of UWGFR’s United We Move fundraiser and it features a post-race fest event that includes local food from Pop’s Mobile Brick Oven Pizza and Dorothy Cox’s Ice Cream cart, live music by Louis Leeman, family-friendly activities with The Trustees’ Mobile Adventure van, and cornhole boards made courtesy of students at Diman Vocational Regional Technical High School. United We Move highlights the spirit of the community from the race participants and volunteers to the local vendors and musicians.
