The bottom photo is 3 teenagers sitting on a wooden gymnasium floor, sorting mittens, hats, and scarves.Coat Drive 2023 was a success!  United Way of Greater Fall River wrapped up the 2022-2023 Winter Coat Drive with an impressive 1,404 coats distributed to more than 30 community partners.  Coats went to schools agencies, and organizations in Greater Fall River who serve babies, children, and adults.

The bottom photo is 3 teenagers sitting on a wooden gymnasium floor, sorting mittens, hats, and scarves.Our coat drive collected items from businesses, community organizations, and individuals.  Each week, we sorted coats at the First Congregational Church of Fall River with volunteers from the church’s mission committee, as well as students from Resiliency Preparatory Academy. Then, the adult volunteers supported staff by delivering coats to the community partners for distribution to their clients or students.   In addition, we also distributed over 1,000 accessories, as well as blankets and a few sets of winter boots to our partners who do homeless outreach.
