Create strong starts for children
Through early education programs like the sliding scale tuition programs at Ninth Street Day Nursery and Kids Academy, we make sure all kids have access to a high-quality education no matter their zip code.

Provide safe homes and warm meals
We’re increasing our support for people experiencing homelessness and hunger in our community, especially as the need increased during COVID-19. For example, each year, we provide over $40,000 in food grants to local food pantries, soup kitchens, and shelters.

Build partnerships that improve equity
Through efforts such as the 21 Day Equity Challenges and continuing education workshops on equity and anti-racism, we are working with corporate and community partners to increase understanding about the history and impacts of racism; and teach how bias, privilege, and oppression show up in our community.

Give more adults career training and support
The right training can help more people get hired, increase their salary and improve their financial stability. Programs like the Job Placement Program at SER Jobs for Progress and the HiSET program at Greater Fall River RE-CREATION, we support individuals in their career paths and help make our local economy stronger.

Increase access to health care
Every person should have access to what they need to have a stable, healthy life—to thrive, rather than to just survive. Resources like the Women’s Center at SSTAR provide the connection to critical health services and care throughout our community.
