Impact Grant Process- Open!

New for the 2020-2021 fiscal year, United Way of Greater Fall River (UWGFR) will be requesting Letters of Interest for any 501(c)3 organization wishing to apply for Impact Grant funding. Impact Grants range from $1,000 to $10,000 with funding intended to strengthen families in United Way of Greater Fall River’s service area: Fall River, Westport, Assonet, Somerset, Swansea, Tiverton, and Little Compton.  Proposals must align with United Way’s key pillars of focus: health, education, and financial stability. Preference will be given to programs that focus on prevention, are new or innovative, involve collaboration or capacity building, or demonstrate measurable effectiveness. Agencies are encouraged to use the Impact Grant rubric to guide their request. Agencies must submit the following information through the online portal:

  • Contact information for project administrator and/or Chief Professional Officer
  • 500-word project proposal, detailing alignment with the mission and goals of United Way Worldwide and United Way of Greater Fall River
  • Proof of 501(c)3 status
  • Certificate of Solicitation from the State of MA and/or RI
  • Pages 1-11 of the most recent Form 990

Letters of Interest, with accompanying documentation, must be submitted to United Way of Greater Fall River before April 1, 2020 at  https://uwgfr.org/impact-grants/  While the LOI is an additional step in the process, we feel that it is an important one given the limited funding available and our desire to not overburden organizations applying for these funds. Agencies selected to submit a complete grant proposal will be notified directly.
